For cotton, add 2 tablespoons/30 g soda ash. Wash 10+ minutes in hot water then rinse. Afterwash: Keep loose dye in suspension. After dyeing, rinse in cold water, then wash 10+ minutes with 3 tablespoons/44 ml per 8 lb/3.63 kg fabric. Use hot for cotton, cool - warm for silk/wool, then cold - water rinse. Wetting Agent: Increase dye penetration. Add 2 - 3 drops per 5 lb/2.27 kg fabric for wool. Add 1 - 2 drops per 2 fl oz/59.15 ml paint for hard - to - wet fabrics.
